Magic Johnson has reportedly joined the partnership group with Josh Harris that's bidding on the Washington Commanders.
Johnson joined Harris' previous failed effort to purchase the Denver Broncos and will provide "both money and expertise" to the Commanders bid, Sportico.com reports.
The 63-year-old former Lakers star has vast ownership experience in professional sports as part of investor groups that have purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA and soccer club Los Angeles FC of Major League Soccer.
Harris already owns the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) and New Jersey Devils (NHL) and is a minority partner in the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Many anticipate the bidding for the Commanders to conclude with a buyer being named at the NFL's annual league meetings, which begin on Sunday, March 26 in Phoenix.
