NFL voices praise Commanders' offseason. Kevin Sheehan reacts to a complete 180 in Washington.

Thirty-one days ago, the Washington Commanders lost to the Dallas Cowboys 38-10 to finish the regular season with a 4-13 record. Since that loss in Week 18, Josh Harris – in his first offseason in charge of the franchise – fired Ron Rivera, launched a search committee, hired general manager Adam Peters, then hired head coach Dan Quinn, who hired offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury and defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr.

And for one of the first times in two decades, the NFL world is beginning to have a lot of good things to say about the offseason Washington had.

"I'm so pumped for Dan," San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said from Super Bowl LVIII. "I'm so pumped for Washington. Dan's a hell of a coach, they got a hell of a one. I know they've gone through some stuff these last 20 years, but having [Peters] and [Quinn] is as good as it gets. Dan taught me so much in Atlanta. I'm very grateful for how much he's helped my career. … And what he's gonna do for their organization and knowing Adam ... They're set up very well."

Here is what former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said about his former head coach: "Dan is an awesome coach and I love my time with him in Atlanta... I think they're going to get somebody who has got great energy. Day in and day out, really good energy. One of his greatest strengths is building the right culture, and in my opinion, that is what's needed in Washington. I think they'll do an excellent job. I like the staff they're starting to put together. They'll be a team that's going to play hard, and that's kind of the hallmark of what he believes in. He knows how to motivate guys extremely well. I'm happy for Dan, and I really think he deserved another opportunity as a head coach and I think it's a really great fit with Washington."
