The Junkies' Week 7 Sam Howell evaluation is NOT kind

The Junkies’ Sam Howell evaluations after the Commanders’ first three losses were two bad but one good, as he played well against Philly despite the loss – and come this Monday, after listening to Howell’s post-game comments evaluating himself in the loss to the Giants, the Junks did not even out that losing ratio.

“To me, it’s a lot on the offensive coordinator, some of these plays that he's calling, because you see there are times when Sam just takes a three-step drop and releases it, and he’s able to complete it,” JP Flaim said, “but he was sacked six times, and threw one pick that probably should’ve been three. He was constantly pressured and his passer rating was 60.5 and QBR was 20.4, so I give him a D. He maybe deserves a D-minus, but I’ll give him a D.”

Cakes gave Howell what JP thought he maybe deserved.

“I feel bad giving him this grade because the offensive line is a sieve that can’t stop anybody, and it’s going to get worse before it gets better – I wouldn’t be surprised to see Philadelphia approach double digit sacks – but I'll give him a D-minus,” Cakes said. “He took the most sacks in the league yesterday at six, threw a pick. The only guys worse than him yesterday, ratings wise, were PJ Walker, who came in in relief of Deshaun Watson, and Brian Hoyer, who was God awful in relief of Jimmy Garoppolo for the Raiders. D-minus., and could’ve been an F.”

Jason Bishop, however, was not so forgiving.

“I don’t know how it wasn’t. I'm giving everybody on the offense an F – every single player and coach, including Sam Howell,” Bish said. “One-for-15 on third down? I just can't give anybody higher than an F on the offense. It was a pathetic, pitiful performance by everybody on the offense.”

Leave it to EB to be the positive one?

“I’ll give him a D, maybe even a D-plus, because they were right there,” EB said. “It wasn't a perfect throw by any stretch to Dotson (on the final play), but if he catches that, I do think they were gonna score. So, he almost brought him back. It wasn't a great game, he had some bad balls, so I might give him a D-plus because he did so some nice things…but it doesn’t matter.”

Now that you have the ratings, take a listen as the guys further delve into how much the coaching staff is on the hook for this rollercoaster…and it’s not kind to ANY of them, especially Eric Bieniemy!
