Why does Chris Russell dislike the idea of the Commanders playing on Thanksgiving?

It's possible that the Commanders could be playing on Thanksgiving once again, something we'll find out when the full schedule is released on Thursday – and that's something Chris Russell doesn't like, saying that Commanders football on Thanksgiving takes away from more important things.

"Part of this is the Commanders want to play in Thanksgiving Day for the exposure, and I've always resisted that, because I know their intentions are about making money," Russell said. "They played three straight Thanksgivings from 2016-18, and then again in 2020 - and the last place I want to be on Thanksgiving evening is FedEx Field, and if I have to choose between my kids and going to FedEx Field for 12 hours? You know what I'm picking! They're just not sexy enough to put them in these big-time prime time windows."

With the NFL now having "off-day" games on Christmas and Black Friday, there could be a lot for Russell to not be happy about (including Eagles-Giants on XMas) – so listen to all of his thoughts and rants on Turkey Day from the second hour of today's show below!
