Washington drafts WR Dyami Brown in 3rd Round (82nd overall)

The Washington Football Team selected wide receiver Dyami Brown in the third round (82nd overall pick) in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In three years at North Carolina, Brown had 2306 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns. The junior, who played all three years for the Tar Heels, measured in at 6'1 and 189 pounds.

"Feast or famine deep-ball specialist with build-up speed that surprises cornerbacks who are tardy to open and run with him," NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein wrote about Brown.

Zierlein added the newest Washington wide receiver has good length, excellent skills tracking the ball, and is a "willing combatant when his quarterback allows him jump-ball opportunities," something Washington quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is known to do.

However, the scouting report did have some negatives: lack of foot quickness and agility could impact shorter and intermediate routes, and his hands can be "untrustworthy," Zierlein wrote.

Washington landed X after selecting linebacker Jamin Davis in the 1st round (19th overall), Samuel Cosmi in the 2nd round, (51st overall), and Benjamin St. Juste earlier in Round 3 (74th overall.)
