The Washington Wizards, fresh off going 0-12 in the month of February, extended their losing streak to 15 games after taking a 127-115 loss in Utah on Monday night. But Kevin Sheehan said they are "actually entertaining to watch" as he had some positive things to say about the woebegone Wizards who dwell in the basement of the NBA standings with an NBA-worse 9-52 (.148) record.
"They play so fast and they have offensive talent, they actually have a couple of pieces that I have become fans of and believe that they are pieces that could be part of whatever they're trying to do here with this rebuild," Sheehan said of the Wizards, who are scoring 114.6 points per game good enough for 15th in the league.
Sheehan goes on to say that while they're interesting to watch "they're clearly terrible," which is where the rubber meets the road for a lot of fans when making decisions about what to pay attention to.
"They're not a terrible watch most nights," he continued. "It's going exactly the way I think you'd want it to go if you're a Wizards fan: They're not horrendous to watch, but they're not winning games.
"And if that continues next year as well and they can add a big piece in the [2024] draft and they can add potentially a transcendent player in the 2025 draft, I think you can be slightly interested, if you're a basketball fan, in what the Wizards rebuild looks like."
