Kevin Durant has had his fair share of drama on social media — from Twitter beefs to burner accounts — leading many to wonder why such a famous, talented athlete would care so much about what anyone says about him on social media?

On the latest episode of Cadence13’s “The ETCs with Kevin Durant,” available on Audacy, the Brooklyn Nets star addressed that notion and his interactions with others on Twitter.

“I wouldn’t say I care that much, whatever ‘that much’ is,” Durant said. “I do enjoy the banter and conversation around the game. I don’t mind interacting with anybody about anything. … I’ll talk to anyone as long as it’s a cool conversation.

“But aren’t we all sensitive? Something triggers us where we want to respond to some s--t. Like we all have that little button. … If I do respond to something, or get triggered, it’s not like I’m in a rage or wanna curse somebody.”

Durant has had a few recent feuds on Twitter just this season — with actor Michael Rapaport and FS1 analyst Shannon Sharpe.

The latter Durant called a “drunk uncle” and corrected after he used a fake quote to criticize the Nets star.

“I do get a kick of telling somebody the truth when they don’t know it,” he said, although did not mention any specific instance. “Especially if it’s about me. That s--t is fun. Seeing how people respond. Especially if you fabricate everything.”

In fact, Durant believes he has benefitted from Twitter in some ways, such as coming up with witty responses to one-up others.

“Twitter has made me better when it comes to s**t like that,” he said. “[More] witty, for real, just my mentality and thought process on a lot of stuff I’m like, ‘Hmm, I didn’t think about that logic.’ …It’s just like people have some nice insight on things that I didn’t have at the time and I could learn … Twitter is not that bad when it comes to that type of s--t.”
