Ava is a Girl Scout in Salem and she was out selling her cookies when she received a fake $20 bill from one of her customers.
The man bought a $5 box of Tagalongs and received $15 in change.
The counterfeit money was slightly smaller than the other twenties, had a bluish tint, and the texture of the paper wasn’t quite right. Ava knew right away that something was wrong, but she didn't want to say anything because she felt intimidated.
We heard her story and wanted to make things right. We invited her to come on the morning show and here is what happened.
Despite the setback, Ava remains optimistic about her cookie sales. She is looking to sell 2,000 boxes and you can order from her by clicking here.
