The Oregon Zoo has been closed for more than two months, and if they stay closed any longer, they might have to close their doors.
60% of the zoo’s income is based on ticket sales and events and it takes about $120 thousand to keep the animals taken care of and to maintain the property. They’ve laid off several hundred temporary employees, and 44 of their regular staff members.
