Now that Brett Young is a father, he probably has a whole new appreciation for what parents go through to make sure their kids get what they want for Christmas, especially when he considers his own Christmases as a kid!
“I probably drove them crazy, but one year I got, like a mini little plastic indoor basketball hoop, and the living room was just big enough that I could justify playing all the time," he recalls in a statement from his label. "I was probably four or five years old, which is big enough to wreak havoc in the living room and jump off sofas to try to slam dunk.
"But I just remember it was the era where Nintendo was really popular and it was the one thing that would get me to put the controller down and actually run around and play," he continues. "Unfortunately for them, it was in the living room.
"But I really loved that thing.”
