The 2020 Billboard Music Awards stayed socially distant, but threw a fabulous party to honor music's hottest artists and songs, Wednesday night. After being postponed six months, Kelly Clarkson took on hosting duties for the third consecutive year and guided viewers through some pretty iconic moments.

Despite a sea of empty seats, Kelly was a rock star host who made this new normal awards show tons of fun. Her performance of "Higher Love" was just the cherry on top of a spectacular night.

There's not better example of game recognizing game. Cher presented Garth Brooks with the "Billboard Icon Award," while sporting a stunning black dress. Garth then went on to play all his 1990's bangers we absolutely love.
Luke Combs Performs "Better Together"
The "Top Country Artist" award winner gave an absolutely incredible performance of his new single "Better Together." Add in three total award wins for the night ("Top Country Artist", "Top Male Artist" and "Top Country Album") and it's easy to see why Combs is taking the mantle of Country's new king.
