The outdoor Country Jam Festival took place June 24-26 and featured headliners Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs and Toby Keith among other supporting acts including Ashley McBryde, Kip Moore and Tanya Tucker.

According to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, four staff members and 13 of the approximate 24,000 festival attendees of the outdoor festival tested positive for COVID-19.

The festival posted a commitment to transparency on their website for festival-goers prior to the event, urging attendees to get vaccinated, wear face coverings and maintain three feet of social distance. It is also reported that the festival featured an onsite vaccination clinic.

"Mesa County is currently experiencing some of the highest COVID rates in the country," it stated. "In preparation for your visit to Country Jam, we strongly urge you to get vaccinated. If not vaccinated, please protect yourself and others by getting a COVID test and do not participate in Country Jam if your test is positive.

Continuing on to write, "COVID-19 symptoms can be similar to allergy or cold symptoms; do not rule out the possibility that symptoms of any kind could be COVID-19. We request that face coverings be worn at all times when in the concert venue and when on shuttles. Please maintain at least three feet of distance from people who are not a part of your immediate party. It’s important that we all do our part in limiting the spread of COVID-19 in Mesa County. We appreciate our hosts and hope you’ll show them the respect they deserve."

It addition to remaining transparent about expectations with guests, the festival shared its plan to "follow the guidance of all City and State authorities on protocols for the festival."

The outbreak has not been commented on publicly by Country Jam organizers or any of the headlining performers.
