Love is in the air, and WalletHub has released its findings of the Best and Worst Places for Valentine's Day in 2021, and Portland came in at #3 on the list!
Key factors included safety (Covid cases and deaths per capita in the last week), budget & activities (including average cost of a 3 course meal, as well as cost of beverages and highly-rated takeout or delivery), gift accessibility (jewelry, florists, chocolate shops, etc.), and weather forecast (for this metric, the city was penalized if its forecasted temperature on Valentine’s Day is colder than the holiday’s average temperature).
Portland scored high in the safety and budget and activities categories, but lost points for forecasted weather.
