Reba’s good friend and fellow Country icon, Dolly Parton, recently shared she’d select Kristen Chenoweth to play her in a biopic, which prompted us to ask Reba — who would she want to play her? The answer may surprise you!
“Dolly Parton!” She exclaimed. “She’d be funnier prettier, sassier and everything more than me, so I think that’d be a hoot!”
We’d have to agree with that — definitely would be a hoot!

All jokes aside, Reba says she’s proud to represent Country music at the awards on Sunday and after working through some anxiety surrounding the show, she’s ready to relax and have a good time. She shared she’s had to lean into her faith and let God guide her through an event that reminds her of one of the most traumatic days of her life.
“I was very emotional yesterday about the Oscars,” Reba shared in an interview on Thursday. “I said ‘Yes’ to the Oscars in ’91 and then the plane crash happened,” she shared, referring to the aviation accident that took the lives of 8 members of her team just before the Oscars in 1991.
“I thought if I got too excited, something could happen,” she said. “So, I said ‘God, I’m just going to give it up to you… Let me have a good time, let me sing it the way I’m supposed to sing it, the way you want me to sing it.’ It lifted like 100 pounds [off of me]. We went to rehearsal and I had a great time!”
