On this week’s Spotlight On Maryland, we spoke with Heidi Daniel, CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. Summer is finally here, and that means Enoch Pratt’s Summer Break Baltimore is back! This is a free program for all ages that encourages literacy and learning in our community. Sign up today and you can get free books for your home library, fun events through the summer, a monthly prize drawing and more! It’s also worth mentioning that the t-shirt design is incredible. Summer reading is a great way for kids to maintain their reading comprehension while school is out, and it’s also a great way to foster a love of reading by encouraging them read the things they’re interested in, and not just the assigned reading.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library is more than just books, of course. They offer computer access, mobile library services, meeting room reservations, and more. There are many different events on their calendar, and an incredible Black Lives Matter Exhibit featuring more than 1600 artifacts from the George Floyd protests in Washington DC. The exhibit is on display in the Annex at the Central Library now through August 14th. There’s something for everyone at the Enoch Pratt Free Library. Visit one of their 22 locations and listen to the entire interview below.
