This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Rebecca Rienzi, Executive Director, and Trish Kane, Deputy Director of Pathfinders For Autism, (PFA), to share how they are celebrating serving the Autism community for 25 years with special fundraising events and by launching their Community Connector Campaign. The dedicated resources from their anniversary fundraising efforts will allow PFA to deepen the organization to fully connect the Maryland Autism community with tailored Safety, Community, and Resource programming by the year 2030. They are committed to raising $1,800,000 in 2025 to reach this programmatic expansion.
Pathfinders For Autism is a non-profit organization formed in 2000 by parents of children with autism and founded by Orioles Hall of Famer BJ Surhoff and his wife Polly in a time when autism had little awareness and even less understanding. Since 2000, PFA has served over 231,000 individuals through Safety, Community and Resource Programming. Families of individuals with autism in Maryland can call their helpline at 443-330-5341 or visit their website pathfindersforautism.org. You can also follow them on Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
PFA has a lot of fun, unique events planned throughout the year to celebrate their 25th Anniversary including a Top Golf Takeover on March 12th, Caught for a Cause April 10th at BC Brewery, and a Private Concert with a leading national recording artist to be announced in March. Go to PFA25.org for more details and to register today. Donations of all sizes matter and will make an impact.
