This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Mary Helfrich, Chief Advancement Officer at St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore to talk about their mission and 20th Annual Empty Bowls two-part event that brings the community together around a shared mission to end hunger. The event raises funds to help those impacted by hunger, homelessness and poverty.
St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore's mission is to ensure those impacted by poverty have the skills, resources and opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Empty Bowls kicks off with Candlelight & Clay on April 17th from 6:30-9:30pm, followed by the Empty Bowls Family Festival on April 18th from 4-7pm. Both events take place at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, Exhibition Hall. All proceeds support the assistance programs and services of St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore.
