A Spartanburg County woman is in custody accused of trying to kill her children.
Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to calls for a welfare check on children at a home on Bud Arthur Bridge Road in Cowpens Saturday afternoon around 2:30PM. As a result, investigators have charged 35 year old Taylor Gosnell with two counts of Attempted Murder.
Evidence led investigators to determine that overnight, Gosnell, the mother of the 3 and 6 year old children, attacked them with a knife and blunt object. Both children were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries and are expected to recover.
Gosnell was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center and was denied bond Sunday.
