A Greenville County man has been convicted of homicide by child abuse.
A jury Friday, June 12, 2026, found 31-year-old Deaundre Brown, Sr. guilty in the 2021 death of his 3-month-old child. Prosecutors say the infant was taken to Prisma Health with severe injuries, including retinal hemorrhages and blunt force trauma to the brain, and died several days later.
Investigators determined the injuries occurred while the child was in Brown's care.
A Judge sentenced Brown to 35 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
