Two people are facing charges after a major drug load was found during traffic stop in Western North Carolina. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says, a vehicle was stopped in the Whittier Community, last week.
A K-9 unit was called in and alerted on the vehicle which resulted in a search. The subsequent search uncovered more than two pounds of meth. The suspects Shawn and Dusty Huskey were then arrested.
They are both charged with trafficking meth, conspiracy to traffic meth, resisting arrest and multiple other drug related charges. They are both being held in Jackson County on a bond of $650,000 each.
