The Runoffs have come and have since well, ran off. Tuesday saw voters go the polls in both statewide and local elections. Alan Wilson downed Pam Evette in the Republican Runoff for the Governor's seat. Wilson garnered over 60% of the vote.
His successor as Attorney General looks like it will be David Stumbo who won the Republican nod over Stephen Goldfinch with well over 50% of the vote. Cody Simpson garnered over 60% of the vote to get the GOP nomination for AG Commissioner, as he plowed past Danny Lee Ford.
In the Republican Primary for the statehouse District 8 seat in Anderson County, Don Chapman got 54% of the vote to defeat Sherry Hodges. And in the Greenville County Council District 17 Joe Dill beat out Travis Forrester with 54% of the vote. The winners will move to the general elections in November.
