A Rock Hill man with cartel connections will spend a quarter century behind bars for drug trafficking. Officials say, Timothy Markee Gayton imported fentanyl from China and Mexico with help from an international drug cartel.

Gayton then set up and operated drug labs in York County between 2018 and 2022. He's accused of manufacturing and distributing thousands of fentanyl pills and also sold a kilo of fentanyl to an undercover agent.

Court records show that over a hundred thousand fentanyl pills and 30 kilos of powder form fentanyl, over 75,000 in cash and several guns were seized from Gayton's home and drug lab.

He's also accused of trafficking thousands of kilos of cocaine. Gayton has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison, there's no parole or early release in the federal system.
