A suspect is facing almost a dozen charges after leading law enforcement on a chase across North Georgia ,before running out of gas this past weekend. The Stephens County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic dispute at a home in Toccoa, just before 5PM Saturday.
As deputies arrived, they saw the suspect 37 year old, Jeffrey Scott Perry fleeing the property in a vehicle. Deputies tried a traffic stop but Perry refused and led them on a chase near the Stephens-Habersham County line.
About an hour later, Habersham County deputies found Perry's vehicle in the backyard of a home in Clarkesville, after he ran out of gas. Perry was located in the woods nearby and was taken into custody without further incident.
