Two Greenville men have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a fatal shooting in the Upstate, over four years ago. The 13th Circuit Solicitors Office says 24 year old, Shakim Johnson and 34 year old, Jared Clement were convicted on charges of murder and a weapons violation, last Friday.
Evidence showed that Johnson and Clement fatally shot the victim identified William Fletcher in Piedmont in May of 2022. Johnson was sentenced to 30 years in the state prison system.
Clement has been sentenced to 35 years total, 30 for the murder charge and 5 for the weapons violation. The sentence on the weapons charge is set to run concurrently.
