An Upstate man is set to serve two decades behind bars for a pair of armed robberies in the Upstate, last year. The 10th Circuit Solicitor's Office says Rickey Lee Hall Jr. of Anderson entered guilty pleas on charges of armed robbery and pointing and presenting a gun.
The charged stem from armed robberies at convenience stores in Anderson, in September of last year. Court records show Hall entered the Marathon gas station on Highway 187 and held the clerk at gunpoint until he could make off with about 350 dollars.
A few days later Hall pulled an armed robbery at the Stop-A-Minit on Pearman Dairy Road. He fled the scene after getting close to 400 dollars cash.
Hall has been sentenced to 20 years in the state prison system and will not be eligible for early release.
