A woman is facing drug and weapons charges after a weekend traffic stop in Western North Carolina. The Asheville Police Department says officers stopped a suspect who was already wanted on drug charges on I-240, Sunday afternoon.
The suspect identified as ,Tyriana Jakira Smith was taken into custody after a search of the vehicle uncovered over 50 ecstasy pill, a handgun and over 4 grand in cash.
Smith is charged with intent to distribute a controlled substance and a weapons violation.
