A York County man is dead after drowning in Cherokee County over the weekend. Coroner Dennis Fowler says the man's body was found in the Broad River near Blacksburg, just before 9PM Saturday.
The coroner's office has identified the deceased as 38 year old, John Daniel Ratcliffe of York. Officials say his body was found in about three feet of water after he went missing, while on the river with friends.
An autopsy has been scheduled, but no further details have bee made available, as of this time.
