Our Audacy Country 'Hit Pick of the Week' is Chris Lane's "Fill Them Boots."

Chris tells Audacy's Kelly Ford that the song, written a few years ago, "tells the story about when Lauren and I started dating." Now happily married with a little one on the way, he explained how at the time "she was in a tough relationship before me. When we first met, she was at the tail end of that. Fast-forward all this time... I guess I was the guy who kind of stepped in at the right time."
"I guess, needless to say, I filled them boots," Chris laughs. As Chris and his wife Lauren now anxiously await the arrival of their baby boy, he says he's putting in the work needed to prepare for fatherhood. "I've got the dad-bod worked up over here, and I'm ready to go!"

“Creating this song was a lot of fun,” Lane told us earlier. “I’ve heard it now a million times and I haven’t gotten tired of it yet, and I feel like that’s a pretty good sign… I cannot wait to play this song in my set!"
