
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One person was killed in a four-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 90 in Schaumburg Thursday afternoon, Illinois State Police said.
Police said the driver of one of the cars was declared dead at the scene, and the three other drivers were taken to a local hospital.
No other information was released about the victims or what caused the crash.
As officers investigated the site of the crash, traffic was moving on the left shoulder. Traffic was moving very slowly as far away from the crash as Barrington Road. Drivers were instructed to stick with Algonquin or Higgins Roads and to avoid Interstate 90.
Illinois State Police said officers are conducting a fatal crash investigation.
