CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The 104-year-old Chicago woman who became the oldest person in the world to sky dive, has died.

He said Hoffner loved meeting new people as she prepared for her second jump.

"She had been going non-stop all the way until the end."

Conant earned the title of pseudo grandson since Dorothy never married or had kids. Hoffner called herself an "unclaimed treasure" and told WBBM back in August that she wanted to make sure she didn’t squish her tandem skydive partner.

"I'm trying to keep my weight down," she had said with a laugh. "I don't want to land on the poor kid."

Hoffner would have turned 105 in December.
