(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A DuPage County judge set bond for two men charged with stealing more than $2,000 worth of items from the Macy’s at the Oakbrook mall last week.
WBBM’s Nancy Harty reports it was 50 and 75 thousand dollars.
49-year-old Brandon Abrons of Michigan City, Indiana and 42-year-old McKinley Brown of Chicago’s West Side face burglary and theft charges after police said they stole $2,400 worth of merchandise from the Oak Brook Macy’s Thursday afternoon.
Abrons also faces a fleeing and eluding charge after police said he led them on a 42 minute chase on the expressways that reached 84 miles an hour at one point. DuPage County prosecutors said Abrons was wearing a coat that still had price tags on it when he was arrested.
The judge set Abrons’ bond at $75,000 and Brown’s bond was set at $50,000.
