3 charged during sex trafficking raid at Spring Grove spa

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Three women were charged and multiple workers were rescued during trafficking raid conducted by local and federal authorities at a Spring Grove spa.

According to the McHenry County state’s attorney’s office, Un Hui Wilcox, Hyun Nam and Jial Lee were arrested Wednesday after authorities conducted a raid at Spring Spa, 2020 U.S. Route 12, and found about $26,000 in cash and over $10,000 in checks, as well as multiple workers.

Un Hui Wilcox, 57, was charged with three counts of promoting prostitution. Hyun Nam, 59, was charged with one count, prosecutors said.

A criminal complaint alleges the two women advanced, managed and profited from prostitution performed at the spa.

A third woman, Jial Lee, was charged with one count of prostitution.

Multiple workers were removed from the spa and were offered services including housing and psychological treatment, prosecutors said.
