The incident happened at about 4:40 a.m. on the 1900 block of Stockton drive in Lincoln Park.

"There were shots fired. We're gathering still information at this time, but it appears after a conflict, five individuals were shot and struck by gunfire," said Chicago Police Deputy Chief Sean Loughran.

One victim was found by police when they responded on scene.

"There was the good citizen who was providing medical attention to that individual who's an individual in his 20's. Four other individuals then were subsequently located at Northwestern hospital," Loughran said.

Four of the victims are in critical condition and are all males. One victim is in fair condition and is a 18-year- old woman. A gun was found at the scene. Loughran said those who were shot are not being cooperative.
