CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A woman has died after being hit Monday afternoon by a truck in the South Loop.
The victim was identified as 72-year-old Marsha Frankel, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Chicago police said Frankel was in a crosswalk at 11th and Wabash at about 2:20 p.m. when she was struck by a box truck turning north onto Wabash.
Frankel was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she soon succumbed to her injuries.
Police have yet to file charges against the truck driver.
