
An 81-year-old woman was killed in a crash Wednesday night in Morgan Park on the Far South Side.
Around 9:30 p.m., a gray SUV was going south in the 11000 block of South Halsted Street when it crashed with a blue car going east, Chicago police said.
The 81-year-old woman, who was the driver of the car, suffered trauma to her body and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she was pronounced dead, police said.
A 51-year-old woman who was a front passenger in the car suffered a broken femur and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, officials said. A third woman, 46, suffered a cut to her head and was listed in good condition at Christ.
The 26-year-old driver of the SUV had wrist and chest pain and was taken to the University of Chicago in good condition, authorities said.
