(WBBM Newsradio) -- Customs officials are telling travelers to expect a lot of company at airports this summer, as more of the world opens up.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Chicago’s airports are expected to see 18,000 international passengers pass through every day this summer — four times the number from last summer.

A spokesman for the agency says they are re-aligning personnel during peak hours to try to move people through as fast as possible and will be using biometric technology.

The agency advises passengers to download the CBP Mobile Passport Control App.
