(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The bodies of two people were discovered by Hobart police Friday in a Lake County apartment.
Police said, in a press release, officers went to an apartment building on the 400 block of Ruta Drive to check on the welfare of the residents.
Building maintenance got them into the apartment. They found two people who were unresponsive and bleeding from multiple places on their bodies.
The officers got out and secured the scene for detectives and the Lake County Crime Lab. Authorities said the two were not positively identified.
They say this is an ongoing investigation, and they’re asking anyone with any information about what happened there to contact them.
Police also said there’s no indication that the public is at risk.
