
BOLINGBROOK (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Residents of a home in southwest suburban Bolingbrook had to find another place to stay after an explosion Monday.
Crews responded to the home on Oxford Drive at around 4:45 p.m. and found a small fire.
The Bolingbrook Fire Department said they were able to quickly put it out. The blast sent bricks flying into the backyard and caused significant damage to the home, prompting authorities to declare it unsafe.
The department said no one was injured, and they are investigating the cause.
