CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Guests will have a chance to explore the Museum of Science and Industry after-hours this Friday during A Night at the Museum.
Hosted by Chance the Rapper and his organization SocialWorks, the fourth annual event will feature more than 50 vendors, 10 live performances plus full access to the museum and its exhibits, including Art of the Brick.
A Night at the Museum serves as a donation hub for SocialWorks’ Warmest Winter clothing drive, benefiting Chicagoans experiencing homelessness.
"We encourage all guests to come in and bring a warming item," said SocialWorks' executive director Justin Cunningham. "Scarves, hats, gloves, jackets but also things that keep us intrinsically warm, like toys and things of that nature."
Warming items collected during the party will then be distributed throughout Chicago in February and March.
Chance the Rapper will be there to join in on the fun and help Chicago usher in the holidays by screening his Christmas movie in the museum's Omnimax Theatre.
"Our guests can expect him at the night at the museum enjoying the festivities just like everyone else," added Cunningham.
Tickets to A Night at the Museum are available online.
