Chicago concert by man who shot Reagan has been canceled

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One of the most unusual and controversial shows scheduled to come to Chicago in a long time is no longer coming.

This summer's planned show at the Logan Square Auditorium by John Hinckley -- the man who shot President Reagan and three other people back in 1981 -- has been canceled.

Hinckley got attention last month when he announced he'd be touring as a solo guitarist after his release from custody in June.

The ticket seller says the July 23 show has been canceled due to what's being called an unexpected and unforeseen issue with the venue.
