Police in Florida are having some social media fun at the expense of a Chicago Police officer after a run in with the law there last week.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd begins his Facebook video by plopping down the mugshot of 32-year-old Dwayne Ocasio, a CPD officer, then explains how the two became acquainted on Friday at the Westgate River Ranch Resort and Rodeo.
“He and a group of people were around a golf cart in the middle of the road. A security guard politely asked him to move the golf cart out of the road.”
At which point, Judd says Ocasio used a racial slur, shoved the security guard and took off.
“He had already told the security officer he was a Miami Police officer. Bzzzt! Not a Miami Police officer. Yes, a Chicago Police officer assigned to the 15th District.”
Judd says after another testy confrontation at his room, Ocasio was arrested and charged with battery and has since been relieved of his police powers and reassigned by CPD.
“I bet the people of Chicago are not happy with him using racial slurs, battering somebody and giving our deputies a hard time. It would’ve been a lot better for him if he would’ve just been nice and cooperated. He learned a lesson here in Polk County, Florida.”
