CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - It looks like Chicago Park District workers will not be going on strike.

SEIU Local 73, representing more than 2,000 park district employees, reported, the “bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement.”

They said a planned “action at the Park District Board meeting and the Strike School have been canceled.”

The union said the tentative agreement on a five-year contract, which has to be ratified by members, includes pay increases, expanded health insurance access, a fair and transparent promotions process and expanded programming.
