
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Chicago Teen who shot a marshal and a K-9 is facing federal charges.
Tarrion Johnson, 19, is charged with one count of using a dangerous and deadly weapon to assault the Senior Inspector U.S. Marshal and one count of discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's office.
The shooting happened back on June 2 in Belmont Craigin. Johnson is accused of opening fire not just on the federal officer but also two Chicago police officers and the canine officer.
He was arrested after the shooting and held without bond on state charges for attempted murder, injuring a police animal and aggravated cruelty to animals.
An initial appearance in federal court in Chicago has not yet been scheduled.
