(WBBM NEWSRADIO) --If you have the inspiration, a person or an occasion to celebrate, one company’s network of songwriters and musicians will put together a song for you.
It could be anything, says Rob Lindquist, the COO and co-founder of Songfinch, which started in 2016.
He says cameo – the Chicago-based celebrity video greeting company -- helped define what's called the digital gift space. Lindquist says the company turned a corner right before the pandemic.
“Things kind of hit the fan and exploded. It’s been exploding since,” he said.
Songfinch has a network of more than 1,000 musicians who work across multiple genres. The company has produced 250,000 songs, running the emotional gamut from birthdays to anniversaries to grief.
“Anything that you could think that you can celebrate, or want to grieve through, or feel in a different way, a song can help that,” he said.
