(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Oak Forest Bowl, located at 152nd Street and Cicero Avenue, was destroyed by a three-alarm fire early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded at about 2:30 a.m. City officials said they called in help from about a dozen other departments. The fire burned for hours.
Nobody was in the building when firefighters arrived. There were no injuries.

The 32-lane bowling alley had been in operation for decades, and the building was also home to Jake’s Pub and Grill.
Deputy Fire Chief Steve Griffin said, “Unfortunately, the building is a total loss.”
At 11:30 a.m. Saturday, officials said crews were still working on a couple of hot spots. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
