CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A 33-year-old man was seriously wounded after an armed attacker forced him into a residence and shot him Sunday evening in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
The man told responding officers that he was approached by a male attacker near Addison Street and Pine Grove Avenue at about 7:40 p.m. The attacker displayed a firearm and forced him into a residence at gunpoint before shooting him, according to Chicago police.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was initially listed in serious condition.
Police have not announced any arrests or released a description of the attacker.
Area Three detectives are investigating.
