(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Democratic officials from around the U.S. spent the day in Chicago Tuesday getting a peek at what the city will have to offer next year when party's national convention is held here.
State Democratic Party chairs and other officials viewed the United Center, where President Biden is expected to be re-nominated, and also toured hotels their delegates will stay at in 2024.
The party faithful were also seeing a lot of McCormick Place, which will host most of the daytime convention activities.
United Center Executive Vice President Terry Savarise told reporters they were proud and humbled to host the convention. He recalled the 1996 DNC in Chicago.
