(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot may soon be looking into trouble in a south suburb.

Officials with the Village of Dolton tell WBBM Newsradio they plan to hold a special meeting Monday to vote on the hiring of Lightfoot, a former federal prosecutor, to investigate issues surrounding Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard.

CBS Chicago reports board trustees were working on a resolution to hire Lightfoot to examine Henyard's finances, including lavish personal spending, reportedly with taxpayer money, while the village is millions of dollars in debt.

The Illinois Attorney General has told Henyard's charity multiple times in recent months to stop improperly soliciting donations.

Lightfoot would also be looking into a village employee's claims that she was fired after saying she was sexually assaulted by a Dolton village trustee on a trip to Las Vegas.
