CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police have found the truck involved in a deadly hit and run on the northwest side, but investigators are still looking for the driver.

The two tone ford pickup truck with a metal frame assembly and ladder was found, but police tell WBBM that the major accidents investigation unit is still looking for the driver.


Police released pictures of the truck that were taken from a nearby auto body shop.

15-month-old Hermes Rios-Cardona was hit and killed Monday afternoon on Pulaski near Wilson in Albany Park. His parents had just picked up food from a nearby restaurant, and he ran into traffic while they were packing the car.

Police said he was hit by the truck when the light changed. A makeshift memorial has developed at the site of the incident. A GoFundMe has been set up to cover Hermes' funeral expenses.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the driver to call Chicago police.
