CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are asking the public’s help in finding a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a 60-year-old man on the West Side.

Detectives have released images of a brown SUV that they believe hit the pedestrian on Aug.1 shortly before 12:15 p.m. while in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant on Chicago Avenue near Springfield.

The SUV, possibly between a 2008 and 2012 Buick Enclave, fled the scene, traveling east on Chicago Avenue. Police note the car has a row of stickers on the right side of the windshield and is equipped with a roof rack.
